$2000 American Gas Association PAC : In September 2011, Dave McCurdy the President and CEO of the American Gas Association has expressed optimism towards the growth of energy sources in the near future. AGA’s President argues how the United States current energy policy is divorced from the economic reality that natural gas has a good chance of competing in the marketplace if the United States is willing to navigate awau from dependence on foregin oil. McCurdy has remained optimistic by speculating that consumer demand will increase during the next few years.

McCurdy suggests that one of the main economic issues in the United States concerns its addiction to foreign oil. The President of the American Gas Association has developed a few proposals to reduce carbon emissions that contribute to global warming. McCurdy mentions how the discovery of of natural gas in the Marcellus State region from upstate New York to Kentucky can transform into a future foundation site for American energy. The AGA President presented the idea that switching millions of tractor trailers to natural gas would have play a substantial role not only in reducing the amount of foreign oil consumed by America but would ultimately reduce the production carbon emissions which contributes to global warming.

$3000 NextEra Energy Inc. PAC: In December 2011, the non-partisan organization Public Campaign criticized NextEra Energy for spending $10 million on lobbying and not paying any taxes during 2008-2010, instead getting $139 million in tax rebates, despite making a profit of $6.4 billion, and increasing executive pay by 14% to $29.7 million in 2010 for its top 5 executives.[5]

$4000 Covanta Energy PAC: Covanta Energy Corporation (formerly the Ogden Corporation) owns and operates worldwide over forty new generation incinerators, also known as waste-to-energy or energy-from-waste power generation plants. The company has been cited for numerous environmental infractions and labor violations during its history.[1][2] On July 14, 2011, the company paid $400,000 in fines for emitting unsafe levels of dioxin from its plant in Wallingford, CT.[3]

$5000 Society of Independent Gasoline Marketers of America PAC: SIGMA is a non-profit, national trade association representing the most successful, progressive, and innovative independent motor fuel marketers and chain retailers in the US. $7000 Entergy Corp PAC: Entergy v Riverkeeper was a case decided at the US Supreme Court on April 1, 2009.[2] This case reviews the United States Environmental Protection Agency's (EPA) interpretation of the Clean Water Act regulations with regards to cooling water intakes for power plants. Existing facilities are mandated to use the "Best Technology Available" to "minimize the adverse environmental impact."[3] The importance of this case is whether the agency may use a cost-benefit analysis (CBA) in choosing the Best Technology Available also known in the industry as Best Available Technology or (BAT) to meet the National performance standards (NPS). Reversing a lower court opinion, in a 5 - 1 - 3 ruling the court decided to uphold EPA's decision as reasonable to allow CBA when determining BAT to maintain national environmental standards.[3]

$7500 Constellation Energy Group PAC: The Political Economy Research Institute ranks Constellation Energy 33rd among corporations emitting airborne pollutants in the United States. The ranking is based on the quantity (16 million pounds in 2005) and toxicity of the emissions.[11] Major pollutants indicated by the study include sulfuric acid, chlorine, nickel compounds, and hydrochloric acid.[12]

Of course the Wall Street PACS give her an enormous amount of money.

Please consider supporting me in any way possible…I will need people to carry petitions for me, help fund the campaign as small donor individuals (not PACS), and have me out to speak.

I just can’t understand how environmentally concerned or, people that are tired of Wall street backed incumbents don’t rally to replace them with candidates like myself who are trying to do the right things.

Sincerely,

 Scott Noren, DDS

U.S. Senate candidate, 2012 NY

There were a lot of ignorant posts after I posted this..The FACTS are that she took PAC money from some of the worst polluters in the WORLD, she has not passed a single bill in 7 years in the House/Senate combined, was the #1 Lobby money recipient from Commercial banks in the entire US Senate in 2010...Now try to let this penetrate..I would never take corporate PAC money period and am a supporter of Move to Amend, including the money she took from American Crystal Sugar, who locked out their workers for OVER a year and then were forced to come back at much worse conditions..she took PAC money from them. Some of you are drinking the Gillibrand/Schumer Koolaid for sure. Or, you work for her or whatever, I could care less. I deal in facts. Right now, I am concentrating on finishing a book on what the Democratic Party SHOULD be like and not what it is..like the insurance industry writing the ACA...deal with facts and don't attack people like me who are trying to make positive steps in getting corporate money OUT of DC..then you also resort to ad hominum attacks and call me an anti-Democrat..those who support corporate Democrats are NOT progressive, period..deal with it.
