I did some homework here. Putting Senator Sanders on the spot and asking him to name legislation for people of color and racism? Well, I would say OVER incarceration of people of color would be racist. So, on May 8th, 1997 just such a bill was up for a vote in the House. HR3- Juvenile Crime Bill. The gist, as in the link below, was a vote to pass a bill that allows juveniles that commit violent crimes OR, specific drug offenses to be tried as adults more easily. Read the link and you'll see there were some other pretty bad adages to this bill regarding juvenile records etc. BERNIE VOTED NAY.

What was President and Ms. Clinton doing on May 8th 1997? They were in Mexico, defending NAFTA, and commending the Mexican police on their heroism in the drug war and how we were the bad guys with much of the illegal drug consumption

...the war on drugs..how'd that go Mr. and Mrs. President? How many black and latino youth were put away during the Clinton years for marijuana related offenses. Meanwhile, Honorable Mr. Sanders was in the House fighting against Republicans mainly against over-incarceration of youth, which we know was mainly people of color. Bernie has long been a supporter of fair justice in every venue.

Hillary was and still is on the wrong side of the issue regarding illegal drugs..the best summary is a previous Kos article below: http://www.dailykos.com/...
