Senator Gillibrand defends keeping food stamp assistance from being cut out of the Farm Bill. That's the right thing to do...but if you're in my shoes and I was there, I would see if the other side is gonna dig in permanently, and then take out the political ammo to force the card. There is no room for backing down. I am on the one hand for keeping food stamp fraud to a minimum. On the other hand, I agree making cuts here is ethically, politically and morally wrong.
So we agree....But I'm still challenging her for the seat. There's way too much else at stake like major student loan reform and my jobs bill and more.
