This isn't about Senator Gillibrand being challenged by 3 Republicans....
The buzz about the war on women is valid. For example, disability policies for small business discriminate against women with higher rates. Zurich, my carrier, charges more for women than men...brought this up to Barbara Lifton, our local Assemblywoman..still not even a state level bill proposed. I want to write legislation to outlaw that discriminatory practice federally.
But the war on women is also mingled with the war on the middle class and lower. You always hear about the middle class but not much about every other class besides the truly wealthy.
One real topic that isn't mentioned enough is that we need a Manhattan Project level Alternative Energy policy. WOMEN as well as men want alternative energy policies that
lower living and energy costs. Many of us in the Fingerlakes want a FEDERAL ban on fracking; not safe fracking.
Another real topic not discussed enough is complete overhaul and reform of the student loan system.
And finally, a jobs bill that helps small businesses grow and helps people open new small businesses that will create real long-term living wage employment.
I have all that in my campaign and I've written proposed legislation for this; I don't just say "I support this", I write it.

Pharma, S&P, Health insurance lobby money. It's easy to say, I like her. That's not the
point. Look at substance, and look at what environmentalists want..federal ban on
fracking...compressed air cars getting 200 mile trips, solar powered window air
conditioner units...passenger rail from Buffalo to Rochester to Syracuse to Ithaca to
NYC..dream big. Less war, more infrastructure..she voted for the wars, the Bush Tax
cut,etc. Open your mind and be the change.
